Microblading / Fusion Brows
Microblading is a manual, semi-permanent technique of hyper-realistic eyebrow drawing in which the shape of eyebrows is calculated according to facial morphology and golden proportion. It is a two-step treatment.
In order to perfect the look, a top-up session is needed four to eight weeks after your initial appointment. It is normal to lose about 20-30% of the hair strokes during the healing process. This is fixed at your touch-up appointment. The treatment is not considered completed until you have had your touch-up done.
FAQ
How is the treatment done?
The treatment is carried out using sterile and disposable manual tools. Using hairstroke technique, we rebuild the brows by creating tiny realistic strokes to give you a beautiful fuller brow. The strokes look like actual hair strands and they are placed to follow your natural brow hair growth direction.
What shape will I have?
I do not use stencils. The brow shape is uniquely designed for each client. The treatment starts with the shape drawing; this stage usually takes approximately 30 minutes. Once the shape is done, the client reviews the shape and necessary tweaks are made to ensure that the client is happy with the shape. I will never proceed with the actual treatment until the artist and the client have approved the shape.
How long does Microblading last?
Microblading lasts up to 18 months, depending on your skin and lifestyle. Regular use of sunbeds, retinol and glycolic acid creams and some other factors can make your brows fade quicker.
What colour will you use on my brows?
The colour is chosen to match your natural brow colour. If the client does not have natural brow hairs, hair colour is used as a guideline for pigment colour choice. In order to achieve the perfect colour match, we custom-blend pigments for each client. Some clients worry that they will get black brows – please be assured that I never use black on the brows.
Does it hurt?
The treatment is not painful but it can be a little bit uncomfortable. Discomfort levels do depend on your pain threshold; also, some women tend to be more sensitive when they have their period. After the first round of work (10 minutes), the anaesthetic is applied and the treated area is numbed.
What can I expect after my treatment?
After the treatment, the colour will appear dark and, by the end of the first week, the colour will go down by about 30%. After the treatment, you will be guided through the aftercare instructions. Please follow these instructions carefully as it constitutes about 50% of the success of the treatment.
